The Security Support Section at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ took part in a number of air surveillance missions conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department's Air Support Division (ASD) in the arrest of wanted criminals. The missions took place following a notice of complaint, which summoned the intervention of Air Support helicopters.

The Security Support members qualified for such air missions participated in locating and monitoring a suspect in a drug case.
