ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, November 17th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police called upon private sector companies to help reduce traffic accidents. In order to preserve the safety of the drivers and of other road users, the drivers were urged to abide by the traffic laws and the designated speed limits; and to always pay attention, drive within the lanes, use seatbelts, and to not be distracted by answering the phone while driving.  

In coordination with the Saaed Society to Reduce Traffic Accidents, the directorate carried out an awareness initiative with the intention to elevate traffic awareness levels amongst drivers for the Abu Dhabi National Hotels. As a part of the community outreach approach, the initiative aims to promote traffic education amongst the motorists in private sector companies.
