Civil Defense and rapid intervention teams at the Emergency and Public Safety Department managed to put out a fire engulfed 6 vehicles parked Mazyad Mall parking lot in Mohamed bin Zayed City, on Tuesday afternoon.
Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Abdullah Ahmed Al Ansari, Director General of Civil Defense at Abu Dhabi, said that the operations’ room received notification at 12:55 pm that a car parked in Mazyad Mall parking lot caught fire. He pointed that the civil defense and rapid intervention teams arrived on-site in three minutes, and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vehicles.

The Air Wing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police conducted six air ambulance missions last April in line with its ongoing humanitarian efforts to save lives. The missions included two assignments to transfer patients from Ghayathi Hospital. The first mission involved relocating a child, age 3, suffering from second degree burns to Al Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The second mission involved the transfer of a senior citizen, age 67, suffering from an acute illness to Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
