“The contract between the GSMA and Barcelona to be the Mobile World Capital and host the Mobile World Congress is due to expire at the end of 2018. The GSMA has received a significant offer from the Barcelona City Partners to extend this agreement for an additional five years, through 2023.

Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) trained citizens in the Al Yahar Region of Al Ain City in the uses of the automatic defibrillator (for cardiopulmonary resuscitation). The public learned of the importance of using the defibrillator and how to use it before the ambulance services arrive in the event of an emergency in a public place.

Emirati woman injured in accident on Dubai- Al Ain Road

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, April 2nd 2015 [ME NewsWire]

A 24-year-old Emirati woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident Thursday morning on the Dubai-Al Ain road in the Al Faqa’ area.  The accident was due to the inclement weather, high winds, and dust-storms that have affected the country since the first hours of the day and causing low visibility.

The woman was transferred by air ambulance to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police called upon drivers to be cautious, especially that the visibility was almost non-existent on internal and external roads within the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
