NI announces collaboration with National Telecommunication Institute to encourage the industrial sector in Egypt

NI , the provider of test and measurements systems that enable engineers and scientists to solve the world’s greatest engineering challenges, hosted Academic day in Cairo today. The event was attended by more than 130 professors and researchers, and saw presentations by some Professors on how NI technology enabled them to improve engineering education and to perform advanced research.

At the conference, NI announced the establishment of the first LabVIEW academy in Egypt at the Higher Technological Institute (HTI). It is one of the leading institutions graduating industry ready engineers in Egypt. Through the adoption of NI technology through the LabVIEW Academy Program,  HTI is looking to further develop and sharpen their engineering and science students' skills to fit the local and global industry needs and requirements.

Michel Haddad, Managing Director, NI, said  “We at NI believe that you can learn better by giving the students of today access to hands-on and experiential learning, where they have the opportunity to do engineering using NI systems and gain valuable skills that prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow and the industry challenges.”

NI also declared its collaboration with National Telecommunication Centre (NTI). This partnership consists of providing technical training support to SMEs in different industry sectors.  With this, NI aims at encouraging the industrial sector in Egypt, and providing it with favourable conditions to increase its competitiveness through access to NI technology and appropriate technical training. NI technology will enable and facilitate the implementation and innovation of projects, driving success and growth to the SMEs and eventually to the local market.
