Certificate of Attainment on CSR Advanced Now Available For the First Time in the Region

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Monday, March 9th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability is the topic under discussion at a series of certified trainings currently underway in Dubai. Organised by the Arabia CSR Network (ACSRN), the CSR Advanced Training has been formulated to help organizations develop the right CSR and sustainability approach for changing social contexts and emerging market scenarios, thereby better equipping them for future CSR initiatives.

“CSR and sustainability are not independent concepts – they work in synergy and in response to the dynamic forces that are re-shaping the global market. Developing the right approach for these changes requires organisations to have in-depth and advanced understanding of CSR and sustainability. This is why we launched the CSR Advanced Training Course,” said Habiba Al Marashi, Founder and CEO of ACSRN.

The CSR Advanced Training course will be held from March 17-19, it will take participants through the whole spectrum of CSR. Among the specific subjects being addressed are the value proposition of CSR, strategy, planning and resource allocation, monitoring and measuring performance, reporting, and best-in-class examples. Each participant will undertake an assessment at the end of the training, with successful ones receiving a certificate of attainment.

This CSR Advanced Training Course is the latest in the series of certified CSR training to be conducted in 2015. Next in the program is a Certified Course on CSR Strategy and Leadership and another on CSR Budgeting and Implementation, taking place in May. Further ACSRN courses will be hosted across the region in the second half of the year.

ACSRN is the region’s first certified training partner for the Global Reporting Framework (GRI), which was devised to enable organisations to compile well-balanced, accurate and reliable sustainability reports. To date, ACSRN has helped build the capacity of more than 323 CSR professionals from over 150 organisations representing 27 industries across the MENA region. The network has been instrumental in ensuring that the latest G4 guidelines are disseminated in Arabic and is conducting a number of its 2015 workshops in the region’s mother tongue.
