Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, November 9th 2014

Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging and business solutions has further strengthened its line-up of document scanning solutions to cater to the growing demand present in vertical industries such as education, banking and healthcare.

The company showcased its new range of products and also encourage partners to enhance their current channel distribution network to consolidate its Document Imaging Management System (DIMS) business at its annual regional reseller seminar held recently.

Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East said, “Over the years, we have built a solid foundation with our partners. We want to further engage with the robust reseller community in the region in a way that existing and potential channel partners will experience and understand the immense profitable business opportunities that lies ahead with Canon’s DIMS category."

"Through our reseller event, our aim is to empower system integrators and value added resellers to work more with Canon’s cutting-edge scanner hardware & also provide customized solutions best suited for different vertical industries,” added Verbrugghe.

Executives from Canon Middle East also spoke about market trends and presented the company’s channel strategy in the Middle East. The presentation was followed by a series of product demonstrations aimed at key stakeholders, to gain a better understanding of the imageFORMULA range.

Attendees were impressed with the demos of CaptureOnTouch (Version 3) software. The solution has been completely redesigned to make scanning even more intuitive and efficient. The new icon-based interface makes it convenient for users to complete a simple three-step scanning process for ad hoc tasks or scan more advanced routine jobs accurately and more easily.

Users can also apply image processing changes directly after scanning, eliminating the need for re-scans. In addition, Version 3 offers a wider selection of scan-to-cloud connectivity with plug-ins to DropBox, SugarSync, and OneDrive. It also allows users to simultaneous scan to multiple destinations.

“Building on a heritage and expertise in imaging solutions, Canon is committed to the DIMS market. There is immense opportunity within the DIMS business in the region, especially in vertical industries such as banking, education and healthcare where high-end scanning solutions have become an essential tool in doing business,” concluded Verbrugghe.
