During a meeting held recently, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) discussed the Corporate Excellence Project and the performance of the excellence teams in the Residency and Naturalization Sector. The meeting was chaired by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, and was attended by general managers and directors at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector.

The Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department was crowned champion of the ADP Fitness Challenge Championship after completing the course in 5 minutes and 51 seconds. According to statistics published by the Abu Dhabi Police, the number of criminal cases handled by the Capital Police Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has dropped by 18% in 2014 compared with the 2013 figures; while cases of bounced checks handled by the directorate have been down by 20% last year compared to 2013.

Caused 5 fatalities last year

The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate warned against the dangers of motorbike accidents; pledging to further increase traffic awareness and control to ensure safety precautions and smooth traffic flow on roads.
