Through its official accounts on the various social media, the Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior has released CCTV footage of the suspect, dubbed the “Reem Island Ghost”, who stabbed a 37-year-old American kindergarten teacher on Monday afternoon on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi. The assailant, whose gender is still to be identified, fled the scene following the altercation that took place inside the washroom of a shopping mall, wearing an abaya, black gloves and the face-covering veil known as a niqab.
The Ministry of Interior urged the public to call 8002626 to provide any information related to the circumstances and details of the case that may help the investigation efforts.
