Education Interface Exhibition kicks off in Al Ain tomorrow

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, March 13th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

The third edition of the Education Interface Exhibition is scheduled to kick off on Monday. The exhibition will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior, with the participation of more than 80 governmental and quasi-governmental parties; private institutions; as well as educational institutions.

The exhibition provides a great opportunity for high school students to get introduced the different educational options, training and academic programs offered by the universities and educational institutions, and to seek experts’ advice in choosing what best suits their interests and ambitions.

Lt. Colonel Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Bakr Al Zaabi, Head of the Postgraduate Studies Department at the Police College at the Ministry of Interior, stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to participate in such exhibitions to introduce the students to the various police departments and their work, as well as providing those students with future options. This statement came in a press conference held by Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club and Emirates Events, on Sunday, at Hili Rayhaan Hotel in Al Ain.

He added that the education sector is one of the sectors which garner much attention from the MoI, by providing a number of academic qualifying programs, and continuous participation in major educational events in the UAE. The participation and patronage of this distinguished exhibition, which is considered one of the most important education interfaces in the UAE, comes as a confirmation that the support of this important sector in the UAE is an essential goal of the Ministry.

Counselor Dr. Najwa Al Hosani, Acting Curriculum Division Manager at Abu Dhabi Educational Council (ADEC) said that the Council extends special attention to the academic and vocational guidance. This attention emanates from the firm belief in connecting the public education students to the specialties available in higher education and introducing them to the needs of the work market.

She pointed that ADEC dedicates one period on the school schedule, and enrolled (Career Guides) subject during the third period, and it also prepared a guide called (Your Guide to the Future Career), which will be implemented next year. She stressed the efforts to achieve active partnership with higher education institutes, to set mutual plans and initiatives to deepen the concept of career guidance within parents and students, and work together to connect the public sector outputs and the private education inputs. She also noted that such educational events are a fertile ground to activate this important role in society.

Raya Ali Al Hassani, Social Specialist at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, noted that the Ministry is working to deepen the knowledge in all directions, to develop individuals, and society; preserve the Arabic language and the knowledge content, which can elevate the Emirati society; and promote the culture of reading amongst various generations. She pointed that the Ministry will showcase the provided cultural initiatives and services, through the National Cultural Encyclopedia, and the cultural awards presented by the Ministry at the UAE level.

For his part, Mr. Muhammad Bani Hudhayl, Managing Director and Exhibition Executive Director, said that the exhibition is in a constant progress. He stressed the vital role of both public and private sectors in supporting the educational process. He also pointed that the exhibition will include workshops to increase the direct communication between the students and academics, and the sponsoring companies, to raise the awareness of the public in regards to the importance of the required specialties in the work market.

Wahib Al Khazraji, Head of Human Resources Department at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (the Platinum Sponsor of the exhibition), said that the bank trained and qualified national and expat young resources, to follow a career in Islamic banking, as one of the major fields supporting the national economy in the UAE, in addition to utilizing the outcomes of higher education in this field, and training and developing the skills of human resources in a way that supports achieving the set goals.

Maryam Ahli, Head of Public Communications at Al Hilal Bank, the Golden sponsor of the exhibition, said that the bank is participating by sponsoring this major event, to express its support to the various social activities, which can elevate the educational ecosystem in the UAE, and can help its success in cooperation with its partners.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition will be held at the new headquarters of Al Ain Women’s Club. It will be opened from 9 am till 3 pm for three days, as the first two days are dedicated for female students and the third for male students.

The exhibition aims at supporting the higher education, and establishing partnerships to serve the objective of building a knowledge and education-based society. It also aims to establish communication channels with educational institutions for the service of Emirati students and GCC students residing in the country, and introduces the students to the important specialties in the work market.
