Within the presence of the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, a delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) signed two loan agreements worth $140 million with the Ethiopian Government to boost economic development, create vital infrastructure and tackle water poverty in the country.

The first loan was made in partnership with other international agencies including the World Bank, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and UNICEF and will deliver a water, sanitation and hygiene program (WASH) to rural and urban areas in Ethiopia.
