LUXEMBOURG - Tuesday, March 11th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

(BUSINESS WIRE) SES (NYSE Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) announced today that Nawras, one of the largest wireless operators in Oman, has signed a capacity agreement on the NSS-6 satellite. The capacity will allow Nawras to provide services such as high quality GSM backhaul and broadband across the Sultanate, including rural areas. Nawras is an integrated services telecommunications operator serving about two million customers throughout Oman.

NSS-6 is located at the 95 degrees East orbital position. The spacecraft’s high-performance Ku-band beam is specifically devised to support key telecom infrastructure, enterprise and broadband networks across several regions, including the Middle East.

Latest report by Wainhouse Research puts ZTE in world top three

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ZTE Corporation ("ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has been ranked in the world’s top three vendors of video-conferencing systems in the latest report by Wainhouse Research.

According to the "SpotCheck Group Video Conferencing Q4-2013 and YR-2013” report by Wainhouse Research, a leading research firm in the video conferencing industry, ZTE achieved 14 percent market share in the shipment of videoconferencing terminals and 15 percent market share in terminals and system platforms revenue in Q4 2013.
